Any news on if Perrin will go ahead on a third series?

Very doubtful, viewing figures were low and no doubt it costs a lot to produce.

I would be surprised if it does not return, but there's been no clear indication yet either way. As ever, we will publish any news when we receive it.

I was wondering about this just the other day actually. I still wouldn't write off its return, but after more than a year with no word it does seem less likely. Pity.

Critical reception was lukewarm at best, and despite a consistently good lead-in from HIGNFY, it slumped to sub-3m in the ratings by the end. This revival was never particularly well-received and I think it was clear it wasn't coming back at the end of its second series.

(EDIT - I've just checked the exact ratings - the second series' overnight ratings were 3.21m, 2.76m, 2.9m, 3.0m, 3.47m, 2.75m. In other words, absymal.)

That doesn't count as abysmal. Disappointing maybe.

It's gone sadly.
