Oh, that's bad news - poor man.

I hope by inoperable, they only mean they cant get to it with their knives but there are other treatments.

As I understand it's benign. Sadly it's made him permanently deaf in one ear, but I don't think it's life threatening.

Thank heavens for that. I had a cousin (only child) die of a brain tumour - devastating to my favourite uncle and aunt.
