I'm sure it's from the 1980s. It's about an illustrator who works with a hand puppet. Believe the actor who plays the illustrator is called Keith something. A bit vague I know, but hopefully someone will know!

Me too, but it was probably awful.

I remember this being on but I wouldn't have watched it, not my thing. The cartoonist in it was a little guy, in quite a few shows of the time. I think it was mainly about having daughters wasn't it? A variation on that earlier Patrick Cargile sitcom. Good subject for a family sitcom, probably why it's been done quite a lot.
