I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. (I search but couldn't find a thread about it)

Inn Mates, penned by fellow BCGer John Warburton. (jdubya)

To be broadcast Monday 9th August @ 9:30pm on BBC Three.

See also, the BBC Writersroom blog: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/writersroom/2010/07/from_sunday_lunchers_to_the_in.shtml

This is College of Comedy endorsed, so I'm expecting something special.

No pressure then, Chip!

If you don't want to wait for it to be on TV, you can see the show online now:

We'll have an interview with writer John Warburton (aka jdubya on here) published on the site later today.

I watched it earlier and there were some good laughs in there. I wasn't sure how it would work as a series but if there was a second episode I'd watch, most of the characters were good fun. And I'm probably not the target audience but it did appeal to my sense of humour.

Just watched this.

Lots of laughs and promising characters - the two lovebird Community Support Officers being a highlight for me, really sweet funny characters and acted brilliantly.

The whole forced father/son story is interesting too and I'd like to see where that goes. I really enjoyed the "soapy" style of this show - it felt almost like a young person's Comedy Corrie to me, with the brief scenes and multiple storylines.

A really nice way to spend half an hour. Well done that Warbles.

Well done, John, you must be chuffed to bits. Thoroughly deserves to go to series - best of luck with it.

I don't know how people can watch stuff online. You have to watch programmes as nature intended: on telly.

Well, I like to see it on script...as the words are being typed...as they form in jdubya's head...

Anyway, will watch this as this it has the Henman seal of approval - those of us who have two 'e's in our first name must stick together.
