Just William (2010)

It's being produced for CBBC, but this does look like it could be a lot of fun indeed.

Daniel Roche is completely the perfect person to play that part.

I liked the 1990s version, doubt I'll watch this, saying that I do watch Shaun The Sheep.

Agree!

I loved the William books when I was young, but have never seen any of the TV series so I'm looking forward to this.

The LWT series is a masterpiece of telly. Unless you've some aversion to old programmes, it's well worth getting.

Dennis Waterman was in an early version I seem to remember.

These books were some of my Dad's favourites and when I told them at my interview that I liked the books probably one reason I never got to grammar school.

:D

Outnumbered star to take lead role in new Just William series
Daniel Roche, who plays naughty Ben in Outnumbered, is to take on the lead role in a new adaptation of Just William.

How utterly, boringly predictable is this casting?

He'd be more suited to playing Violet Elizabeth Bott!

Hopefully they'll cut the awful little brat's hair before they shoot (him)...

;)

Not at all.

Perhaps some would be happier with less predictable casting.
Like a blonde, 6 foot tall, fat woman. With a beard.

Now that would be original.

It would, but not much chance of originality these days!

;)

Anyway, as we say, each to his own.

It's almost certain to be a hit show, I feel.

In a programme based on stories from the 1920s, that would be challenging.
