How exactly is Gordon Brown unqualified and incapable of being Prime Minister? He was Chancellor for 10 years before taking up the post, what skills are needed in the role of Prime Minister which aren't as chancellor? Oh, I know, you need to be a smooth talker, not have a lazy eye and be able to fain sympathy really really well, TONY!!!. Also, members of the Labour party have tried to oust him quite a few times, such admirable, patriotic and esteemed people as Patricia Hewitt and Geoff Hoon no less, modern day heroes, the both of them. I think the country does need change, who is to provide this change I'm unsure, and am also completely underwhelmed by the options, but if I vote against Brown it won't be because he's "simply not up to the job" and is a "dangerous liability", did you get all that from a Tory newsletter?

In fairness you do not have to be a Tory to see that Gordon is not up to the job of PM (or that he was not much of a Chancellor either.) And pointing out terrible Tony was or how underwhelming the alternatives are, both within the Labour movement and without, does not make him any better.

If you ever had to work with their poorly thought through central government dictats. PFI which is even more debt for future generations for substandard services now. And London Transport is paralysed at weekedns thanks to his meddling.

Gordon's character flaws - the control freakery, indecisiveness, the paranoia, the empty ambition, were well known to colleagues in the party (and everyone else who had come into contact with him). It was a disgrace that he was able to succeed as PM unopposed, but then what can you expect from the same spineless shits who trooped through the lobby in support of the Iraq war.

The Thatcher and Blair eras were far more impressive. They made big mistakes, but they also made success's.

The national care agency is idiotic beyond belief. Why can't anyone just say the state pension was meant to cover 5-10 years of life.
Ergo the retirement age must increase. Early retirement is a luxury that needs to be paid for individually.
