Shows that should be put out of their misery Page 4

Anything on MUTV

I've just watched the third substandard Office (American) in a row. Once again, the arrival of a baby heralds the jumping of the shark.

I really think EastEnders has had its day. These days, there's far too much characters and things going on at once, and it's not as realistic as it used to be.

I don't know. Having babies seems a staple of American sitcoms. Friends used to have characters giving birth regularly, and that never lost it's edge. Of course, the great thing about babies in Friends, is they were rarely seen again. If ever.

I think of several shows that should be stopped.

* ALL reality television - it is the most vile, sickening, dumbed-down pile of festering shite possibly created in the history of mass media.

* BBC Three youth-orintated sitcoms - Namely Two Pints, Coming of Age etc.

* Sky and Fox News - I don't think I need to explain why.

Get rid of anything that features the following -

Jonathan Ross
Graham Norton
John Barrowman
Bruce Forsyth

I don't know know, I felt like that show lost its edge as soon as Monica and Chandler got together. It was still funny but definitely didn't have its earlier zing.

Family Guy
My Family
Scrubs (Which I think has now)

I was just thinking the same thing. Fortunately, Steve Carrell looks ready to jump ship at the end of the next season.

He'd better look out for that shark then!

I can't agree with The Simpsons at all. I still love it.

But my list would be

1. The Bill
2. Coronation Street
3. GMTV
4. This Morning
5. Jeremy Kyle
6. Shameless (though I'd like it to get to 10 series first)
7. My Family
8. Big Top
9. Doctors
10. Bargain Hunt
11. Cash In The Attic
12. Car Booty
13. The Weakest Link
14. You've Been Framed
15. Heartbeat (I hope it doesn't come back)

I think I predicted something with my Number 1 choice.

I take it back

and my Number 8. maybe we should have a TV show version of Deathlist

The Office is still one of the highlights of my week, coming in below Breaking Bad. I'm also enjoying Treme and Parks and Recreation.
