TTPYO: My Mac Mini won't boot after an unplanned shutdown, but it won't boot from the OS X DVD because it's scratched. Grrrrr.

I thought it was due to a power outage, but it turned out to be a dead hard drive. Just purchased a 320GB replacement and am attempting to reinstall the OS from a 
disc image because the original is scratched.
