Best Single Comedy Drama - Starter For Ten

Surely that wasn't this year, was it? :O

Sorry Mr Kipper but you can't seriously class Inbetweeners as a comedy drama.

Is it classed as a sitcom then? Okay, sitcom. It's the strong location element that makes me call this a comedy-drama falsely now, because most current sitcoms are very studio based. And the fact it's about teens - Okay then, new category - Best Teen Sitcom.

Sitcoms are 30 mins, roughly. Com-dram are 1 hour. I believe.

Anyway this will all be discovered in the BCG comedy awards next month!

I guess you can practice here though. ;)

I don't think it's a time limit based situation, I think it's more to do with content and presentation.

After all, there have been a number of hour long sitcom specials and I even watched a Dad's Army movie the other day - I wouldn't classify that as comedy-drama.

For me, a comedy-drama has an equal mix of...um, comedy and drama, rather then the non-stop jokey jokes like in Miranda or Not Going Out.

Don't sitcoms only get an hour special after they're established, and as a sitcom?

Yes you're quite right of course. Too much sherry for Mr Kipper this morning - I saw it for first time this year and for some reason thought it was new - I don't remember it comiming out. It's not amazingly brilliant but it was more the fact that the Beeb actually made a feature length comedy drama film, for the first time in ages that I thought I aught to applaud it - so single best comedy drama for a couple of years ago. Hope we get a new one next year.

I still haven't seen it properly yet. Must do.

Best Continuing Sitcom - Outnumbered

Don't you want to wait until tomorrow to judge that? (Unless you're counting Comic Relief.)

Shameless series 6
Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps series 8
Big Top (to remind me how lucky we are to have some of the other shows on TV)
Outnumbered
Beautiful People series 2
Ugly Betty - til I went off it again, got back into it and then off again.
Whoredans downfall - Love seeing the slag cry :) It's like Christmas everyday
