Sitcoms/Sketch shows I have never seen Page 2

All rather depends on your sense of humour, but here are my thoughts on most of them:

After You've Gone

Yes, if you like My Family etc.

The Army Game

Yes.

Beggar My Neighbour

Not familiar with this myself. Do you have a source? :)

Bless This House

Similarish to My Family etc, but cheekier. Sid James is of course joyous to watch.

Butterflies

Depressing.

Don't Wait Up

S'alright, but not really anything special IMO.

Drop The Dead Donkey

Do you like HIGNFY? It's the topicality of that condensed to the purest, funniest bits, and presented within a sitcom story. Definitely recommended.

Fonejacker

Incredibly tiresome incredibly quickly.

The Goodies

The early BBC series are definitely worth trying.

In Sickness and In Health

Yes. I've only seen the first 2 series, and they can be very funny.

The Inbetweeners

Definitely.

Love Thy Neighbour

Not if you're easily offended or suffer from middle-class guilt, political correctness, etc. Otherwise, it is at very least an interesting study of attitudes and society of the era.

The Likely Lads

Yes, yes, and thrice yes.

On The Buses

The first 4 or 5 series are surprisingly witty and laugh-out-loud funny. It's very much like other comedies of the era though, so depends on whether you like that kind of stuff.

The Thick of It

Yes Minister without the charm. I'd say yes, as you've already noted The Office and Extras.

Terry & June

Very homely, warm-feeling comedy. Not as riotous or risqué as Are You Being Served?, but I tend to associate the two reasonably closely.

To The Manor Born

Yes.

Thanks Aaron, I plan to try several of them. However might give shows like On The Buses and After You've Gone a miss.

Sounds fair. Although, ITV3 do repeat On The Buses relatively frequently, so actually I would recommend checking out an episode or two on there - but wouldn't go buying the DVDs or anything if you don't know you like them first.

Oh ok I didn't know that. I'll keep my eye out. Just ordered Nighty Night, if its crap I'll just sell it on ebay.

ITV3 and Comedy Central X (I think) show lots of classic British comedies. Always worth a dip-in to see if anything takes your fancy.

Watch The Thick Of It! Quick!

Before it becomes un-topical?

Watched In The Loop recently. Very good.

Black Books
Big Train

Two of my favourite shows.

15 Storeys High

I have also never seen this, but really want to.

You should, it's brilliant. :D

Secondededededed.

Everybody should see 15 Storeys High. A minor classic, and a perfect outlet for Sean Lock's humour.

Both Comedy Central and Comedy central Extra show quite a bit, and G.O.L.D., although nowhere near the quality of their early 1990s scheduling, have improved recently.

Another Big Up for Big Train. This show is rapidly approaching old age, but the sketches still stand up today. V. good!

Butterflies is well shit though gangsta.
