Daniel Kitson Page 2

He's an excellent stand up and surprisingly good at football.

Saw 66a Church Road last night. It's awesome!

Really, really funny. One-man theatre rather than pure stand-up, but didn't stop it being amazing.

Thoroughly recommended if you're in London over the next couple of weeks.

Is his style/comedy at all similar to anyone who is brave enough to go on TV? I for one can't afford to go and see someone without any idea if I'll like them.

I think he's a bit - "meh". Unless I wasn't in the mood at the time, wasn't that impressed.

Here's a whole show and a bit (audio), so you can see what you think.

66a Church Road was very good indeed, it's amazing really how what could be considered such a banal subject can be turned into an engaging, entertaining 90 minutes.

It reminded me of 'Eric tales of the sea' which I think is having another run in Edinburgh this year and I can't recommend highly enough.

Funny heart warming stories as opposed to straight up stand up.

Ps- Well done Dan for the FFL it were a close tussel all season so credit were it's due.

Thank you, thank you. I'd like to thank my parents, Daniel Kitson, etc etc...

And Daddy Maz for a close run thing :)

I was going through a box of old photographs the other day and was surprised to find one of Daniel Kitson in his underpants.

Yes, well, err ..... not a lot one can say really

Aren't you glad I can't be bothered to hook up the scanner?

The photo must be about 12 years old, taken at the Cosmic Comedy Club in Fulham. I reckon it was one of Daniel's first gigs, and he was brilliant even then.

I saw his show earlier in the year and thought he was amazing. Completely unexpected too as I thought it was going to be stand-up.

I saw Daniel Kitson in about 2001-2002 at a university show put on by Comedy Network I think. He was still doing regular stand-up routines then and I was in complete stitches right from the start.

I've never had a chance to see any of his more experimental shows yet, but I'd still rank him as one of the funniest live performers I have seen.

Was he in his pants?

Was he in his pants?

Yes I think so. But he had other clothing on too, thankfully.
