I don't like people pronouncing baby as "babby". It makes me quite savage.

There's also "babba" and bubbuh".

Not sure what you mean by 'black'. In terms of non-White we have more people of Asian origin rather than negroid. I heard 'axe' for 'ask' when I was a child and immigrants were few and far between.

Ironically for a BCGer, I've never really known how to pronounce clique. I say "cleek" but a lot seem to say say "click".

You are right. It's French so obviously the 'i' must be pronounced 'ee'.

Max Von Sydow. I still don't know how to pronounce his name!

Why do people say pacific instead of specific, it really pisses me off, I mean they are oceans apart!

Am I the only one who says the letter 'H' as "Haich"?

Yet, strangly, when I actually say a word with an 'H' in it, I omit the sound - "'ello", "'ouse" etc.
