What was that comedy called?

There was spoof political diary comedy series on BBC Radio 4 many years ago. All I can remember is that it was a monologue delivered in a dry drawl.
Does any one remember the title?

It could be one of many. I have a couple of possibilities, Pilton read by Leonard Rossiter was about a backbencher read as 15 minute monologues. There was a similar programme with Leslie Phillips called 'Tales of the Backbench' written by Peter Tinniswood. But this kind of seriel is quite common in the history of Radio 4, including people like Gyles Brandreth and Chris Mullins reading their diaries.

The actual title of the Leonard Rossiter show 'An Instant Option' written by Barry Pilton. :$
