Classical Dog

Classical Dog- Sketch

INT. Theatre.

We are looking from the audience perspective on to a spot lit stage. A grand piano is in the middle. We are obviously waiting for a piano player to give a recital.

A Border Collie dog trots on from the side of the stage and sits at the piano. We now see the piano from the back so we see the dog at the keyboard without seeing his paws.

The dog begins to play a piece of Beethoven.

Cut to two audience members. One whispers to the other.

Man

Bloody hell! There’s something you don’t see everyday. He’s not bad.

Woman

I’ve seen him before. His Bach is much worse than his Beethoven.

Man nods.

Good stuff. I think I'd change the woman's line to something like 'wait till you hear his Bach'. As you have it it sounds too much like it's going to be Bark worse than his bite, but then it isn't, which, I felt, was a little dissapointing. Unless you can find a composer that sounds more like bite, I'd move away from the well known phrase all together. A minor criticism though.

Composer puns - I just can't Handel it.

Not sure about this one. I need some time to Malher 't over

Thanks for your observations guys. I'll go and make a Chopin Liszt!

These puns are extremely Lloyd! Webber I can deal with that sort of noise is another matter.

Good sketch btw

Dan

I think this composer's pun was definitely one that was decomposing. Excellent.
