Are you saying they weren't related?

I can confirm that Jedward ARE related somehow!

Moldavia was brilliant and your Terry W impersonating man didn't get it at all. :)

Was you listening to Ken Bruce on Radio 2?

Is anyone going to watch Eurovision this year? Or does everyone have better things to do?

I'll probably end up watching it. Or more accurately, have it on in the background.
I was thinking, I'm surprised that no eccentric King or PM has ever insisted on representing his country at Eurovision. It really seems like the sort of thing that should have happened at least once.

And now for the United Kingdom, represented by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II singing The Jubilympic Jubbly

Ah, that would be amazing...

That would add to the quirkiness. I think one of the women from ABBA has since married into Royalty.

Laughing out loud

She could come out holding a Olyimpic torch and riding on the barge.

Heard Terry Wogan once argue that Eurovision was an excuse for us all to laugh at foreigners.

I think that's really xenophobic and offensive, you hod carrying Mick.

It works both ways. It gives them the only reason to laugh at us - except our comedians of course.

I'd like to see the 'powers that be' in UK Eurovision HQ treat this competition in the same way 98% of the viewing public do: as a joke. Let's send over some madcap act to just take the piss. Let's copy Moldova.

Everybody knows this year's entry from Russia, right?

Just in case you have missed the essential piece of music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjBXPjqtE_M&

Let's hope to God they don't do a Buck's Fizz halfway through...

But that wins the contest ...and we know it very well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cCUrEIpSJQ (3:12, if you want only the crucial moment)

Well its a refreshingly different approach.

Nice to see the Military Wives Choir has inspired the widows of Stalingrad.

I will be watching Eurovision, I love it!

I find listening to cheesy songs in lagauages I don't recognise to be
quite comforting. I especially like it when it sounds like a sweary word in English.
