Slagg Brothers Sketches

Some new sketches are up on YouTube (Click on link in signature below), they'll be put on our website tomorrow when I get time.

We have an interview with the mighty Beeb. Unfortunately, it's very minor and if you didn't have the URL you'd never notice it but there's a very nice piccy of me ... shame SlagB's hogging the foreground.

Discover if we're actual brothers. Discover if you care enough to find out.

With thanks for your time.

just been on there, i love that delivery man sketch, unpredictable, short and funny. that wine bluff one put me off my dinner but at least i tipped it in the bin laughing.
well done

Cheers for the mention in the interview SlagA, and I really liked both the new sketches, especially the postman one; well done!

I loved the wine bluff sketch, especially the last few seconds. I'm not going to be sleeping tonight. Liked the parcel sketch aswell, could be a reacurring sketch e.g. can you sign for this sir. Yes. Your neighbour can collect it when hes ready. etc.

Yeah nice work SlagA. Really liked Postman sketch. Also liked Soap and Copy sketches. I hadn't seen them before. Good stuff.

You have many gifts! Mainly gloves and jumpers.

Nice sketches guys - gotta agree with the others, the highlight was the 'delivery' sketch. Don't you just hate those buggers and why (at least in my experience) do they never choose your next door neighbour to leave it with, instead it's someone several doors away who happens to be the only person on the street you can't stand. First time I've actually viewed any youtube entries of yours Slaggs - excellent stuff - looks like you guys have a great laugh just in making them. That's some haircut your bro's got A, perhaps you can convince him to do a spoof sketch of Edward Scissorhands and give it a trim. Is he the lovechild of Bob Marley and Sideshow Bob?
Keep up the good work guys and I look forward to more viewing.

Cheers, we had to rename Postman Gitt for the beeb. He's really called Postman Twatt and he's a character from Birth School Work Death: a dark horror comedy. SlagB's hair does tend to limit his roles to anarchists and porn peddlers.

Matt, the interview comments were deserved. It was a shame I had to restrict them to Comedy Soup members as the regulars here also deserve mention. Here's to future greatness.

P.S. Remember The Slagg Brothers when you're up there, eh, guys?

Well done chaps

Watched some of the YouTube clips too. Liked Flobb the Dog in particular and the postie. I'll go back and have a proper look.

Slags -I really like what you're doing on the sketches that you've posted on Youtube. My favourite if Doctor Felcher/Fletcher but it's all good.
Are you happy to combine the darker, more edgy sketches with the gentler ones (inc. visual puns)? It's a question to which I don't know the answer...is it better to aim for a cohesive style or try and vary your style to show that you have range? Hmm. Got me thinking now.
Anyway, I love the sketches (esp the darker ones but that's just my taste).I look forward to more!

Cheers All.

Fred, I see where you're coming from. It's hard to see the pattern behind a selection of seemingly random sketches but one does exist. The sketches are coming from two different sources. The darker ones are the most recent and are extracts of scenes and characters from two dark sitcom-cum-sketch shows (Birth School Work Death / Resistance is Futile) that we've written and intend to film asap.

Dr. Fletcher / Feltcher is my fave character too. He's so repulsive but easy to write for and has two other scenes on our website's video page that I fear to put on YouTube as they're even darker.

The more gentle sketches are ones we bounce off each other when we're having a hard time brainstorming anything new. And we source them from older inspirations (Two Ronnies / Laurel and Hardy). Maybe I need to redesign the website video page around those two seperate strands?

I'm not a big fan of visual puns (I love slapstick) but SlagB is, so we tend to compromise. Plus if one style doesn't grab a viewer hopefully another will.

Hopefully.

Now that I will have access to some video equiptment I might join comedy soupm its beginning to look like a more interesting place to be all the time.

PS liking the sketches!
