There are documentaries on them on TV over Christmas
Les Dawson-9 pm Christmas Eve,BBC 2
Tommy Cooper-Wednesday 28th at 9pm on Channel 4

Ace.

Peter, with all the best will in the world, I expect that there are threads already dedicated to the two men that these shows could have been mentioned in. Hopefully most people are already aware of them from our Christmas TV feature and various news stories too.

I've only just seen this thread so missed the Les Dawson one - but (luckily) I'm just in time to record the Tommy Cooper one on my Freeview+ box

The receptionist where I work used to work in a busy newsagents in London and one magical day she actually served the legendary Tommy Cooper! :)

Good to see Tommy Cooper on the cover of the latest Radio Times in all four versions (as a T-shirt but it still counts...)

A UK tour of "Being Tommy Cooper" is shortly to get underway:

My mate asked me this evening to use your good orifices offices to ask if anyone knows of a Tommy Cooper sketch when he is in a sports shop waiting to be served and the head comes off a mannequin. When somebody arrives Tommy stands behind the dummy to replace the head.

Sorry that's all I've got.
