How do you write? Page 2

I think that writing requires silence because when we start writing we have lots of idea in our mind that may be interrupted while you are sitting in public place or listening to music.

I have classical music on sometimes and often the golf.

I'll usually have the telly on in the background.

I am allowed crayons.

I can only write when its quiet and there are no distractions, although I tend to find a way of distracting myself anyway (thanks a lot, YouTube!)

Strictly off-line when I write [no connection in the office].
Wouldn't stand a chance otherwise.
Musically, if it's a job that's going to take a bit, I try to theme up a playlist on the i-Pod - never lyrics though - can't write with someone else's words going round my head.
That and marathon solitaire sessions.
Very excited to get four ( count 'em) out in a row the other day.
More than made up for the fact that everything I wrote was unmitigated cack.

I would love to write with no internet, but I can't resist. I don't mind a bit of music on.

More luck than judgement, really.
My little office is too far from the 'hub'.
(In more ways than one, but that's Shropshire for you.)
