Yes I'm making large assumptions

Well we can agree on that. ;)

Is it a sociopath who believes that their opinion is the one true incontrovertible fact? Whatever the word is; it's you, Alfred. Such a bizarre stance to take.

I'm sure you've read critical theory like I have, Aaron. There's a French quote that goes "The objective view of the experts exists to be over ruled by the subjective view of the common viewers."

This explains why sitcoms like Fawlty Towers gets the nod on most critics' lists while shows like OFAH get top spot on most mass viewer polls, and Cook & Moore are prefered over Morecambe & Wise by critics and writers. As I said before, objectivity does exist, but its elitist conotations are sneered at.

Amstell being given a sitcom because he's Jewish

Yes, actually this suggestion is rather offensive, as well as being untrue. Amstell didn't get a sitcom because he's Jewish. He got one because he was seen as a popular, up-and-coming talent, who had a premise for a sitcom which appealed to the BBC.

That and the fact he's a poof.

Assumptions based on objective truths, Madam. It's how any theory is formed.
