In essence our society is secular rather than aetheist.
In that our societal values are a sort of enlightenment Christian values but without God.

It was really lovely in central London this morning with no traffic allowed in.
As I made my way home this evening a rather desultory crowd was lining the route waiting for the Pontiff who was due past around then, but I could not be bothered to join them.
