T-Boy, Urban Street Poet Page 3

I really liked the character and the build up, it was only a little spoilt for me because I remember the:
"cowboy Billy had a ten foot willie.." stuff from school. If it was an equally inane/crap poem that I didn't identify with though it would have been great.

Or maybe T-Boy came out with a poem that was a bit touching and emotional that made everyone cry, so you start to think he's not that bad.

"Me dog he was me life,
he didn't give me lip,
not like me dad that threatened me wiv a knife
me dog didn't give me jip.
But know he's in a better place,
He's looking down on me,
like he always looked out for me,
I will never forget that face.
I loved you brov."

JOB CENTRE LASS: "That was touching T-Boy, did your dog die".

T-Boy slowly folds up his paper and nods his head looking down to the ground.

T-Boy "Yeah, had him put down. He shat in me trainers innit"

.
Hey, Dale - that's an excellent compromise. Funny and well written too!

I like that Dale, and it'd be good for a one-off, but this sketch is meant as a runner over the course of a series and needs an intrinsic joke at its heart.

Well I liked it. I accept that it's not incredibly original, but for one, can't stand it when people try and reinvent to wheel forgetting along the way that square wheels are not funny.

First and foremost I rank something on whether it makes me laugh. This did.
