Don't Watch That, Watch This

Does anyone remember this BBC Four show from a couple of years ago? It was a show where they took footage of politicians, celebrities and TV shows and edited it to make them seem like they were saying or doing something completely different. It was kind of like a TV equivalent of some of the smartly edited YouTube videos you see from time to time.

Here are some clips from the show:

So did anyone watch this clever show, and if so, what were your thoughts on it?

Yes, had some good bits. :)

I recall watching a bit of it and deciding it was much the same as a bunch of other shows around at the same time. And all Iannucci, I think?

To my knowledge, Armando wasn't the creator of this show. I know he did some similar stuff (Time Trumpet for example), but he wasn't behind this one. It was Geoff Atkinson and Steve Connelly who were the creators, and I think Rory Bremner was involved somewhere as well. It's probably the best of these sort of shows IMO

I don't think this was the original show that started this video editing show craze. Wasn't there some Swedish show or something that did this in the 1990s. I could be wrong but I'm sure I remember it being mentioned somewhere (there's a George Bush and Tony Blair clip from that show on YouTube).
