Comedy Magazines Page 2

I vaguely remember the last one being quite good.

SFX is actually pretty good, I like the ask SFXperts and they have the best spoiler section.

If I was a dinosaur I'd be a geek-o-saurus-wrecked.

I wish there was a good comedy magazine.
That would be flipping awesome.

There's MILLIONS of film mags, and tons of TV ones.

And even several for writers.

I think it could work.

If our resident deity says it should be done, then it shall.

Some of the older Bizarre's covered alot of outsider writers like Edward Darger.

Otherwise everything else is a scream sheet for it's sponsor.

I subscibed to Bizzare when it first came out and I've still got the first 10 or so issues. Any offers?

Nobody seems to have mentioned the Fortean Times though.

David you dark horse, a fellow Bizzara'

I think Bizarre's not stianed with out nefarious fluids could be worth a little.

It was quite interesting to start with but became ultra-pervy!

I still hanker for the days it was about eccentrics, mad men and horror.

All this sex stuff is a little dull.

Some of the outsider art stuff and stuff on cults was top notch.

And why do they keep doing the same ruddy artilce on Japanese live Octopus porn?

Despite what some people say about SFX, I am searching for a copy or two - I am writing my dissertation about time travel of all things (and no I am not studying science or astrology)!! But I am working in Germnay at the mo and can't find a place to buy one from. I have bought other stuff of this site but is this a copy of SFX -

When i type into amazon SFX this comes up:

http://www.amazon.de/SFX/dp/B00006LROU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=magazines&qid=1218788001&sr=8-2

Which once is the mag and anyone know of any other mags or journals with articles about time travel in? I'd give you a mention if i pass my degree ;)

The second one is SFX but it's ridiculously expensive.

I have the first issue of Comedy review frm 1996. It really interesting to look at now. There is an interview with Louis theroux about TV nation. A thing about Matt Lucas and his new double act with David Walliams. A thing about Dennis Pennis, Richard Herring talks about his home town, and they talk about new up and coming standups that includes Chris Addison. Who looks about 16. He says he was crap at the start and was going to give up. But Dave Gorman told him to keep at it.

I always thought you could turn the BCG into a magazine with things like reviews, previews, interviews, features and merchandise, you know most the things you get on the website. I even made two magazine covers on Word ( which are kinda crappy considering it's Word.)

You could do, though obviously that would mean a certain amount of financial risk. This site could always just up its features/interviews/reviews/etc.
