Nanci Griffith - Love at the Five and Dime:

Not seen that version.
Sublime.
There's a strand of Americana that I adore.
Most of it's shit - but some of it...
Thanks.

You're welcome - and I totally agree with you on Americana.

I love EmmyLou Harris and Linda Ronstadt, and Dolly Parton too. The three of them together are sublime.

The only country music I like is by this guy

We are supposed to be remembering the sadly deceased Nanci Griffith. Not listing singers we like better. A bit of respect please.

Never heard of her

Chill!

So sad to hear of the death of Sean Lock I thought he was a great stand up and his Lockapedia Tour was sublime. A real loss of a great talent.

So sad news to hear of the loss of Sean Lock. He had clearly been ill for some time as he looked rather thin and his voice was rather diminished on his recent TV appearances. Woefully underrated as a comic, with a sharp mind, never cruel, and entirely without ego. Condolences to his family and friends.

Very sad about Sean Lock. And worth remembering that 15 Storeys High was a very good yet criminally underappreciated sitcom.

Oh how sad
And what a shock, RIP Sean
One of my favourite comedians

OMG NO! Just been religiously watching the Cats does Countdown repeats that have been on daily......................I can't believe it! God, that is so sad. Teary

Very sharp and funny man, who will be sorely missed. RIP Mr Lock

Rotten news.
Personally I think he was tragically under-used as a panellist - his stand-up was brilliant and he could act.
15 Storeys High - as has already been mentioned - was clever stuff.

Worth checking out-The episode of TV Heaven Telly Hell where Sean Lock and Lee Mack discuss the merits of Indoor League. Makes me cry with laughter.

Yes, I never moaned when he was on TV, unlike some stand ups. And I might check out that sitcom he did, yes. RIP

One of the very few genuinely very funny comedians Britain has produced in decades - amongst a sea of mediocrity
