British comedians tend to have 10 letters in their name - Stephen Fry, Oscar Wilde, Bill Bailey, Derek Nimmo, Hylda Baker, Jon Culshaw, John Hegley, Barry Cryer, Lenny Henry, Dawn French, Linda Smith, Harry Worth, Stan Laurel, Micky P Kerr, etc - and American comedians don't. I have never known why this is. Odd isn't it.
