Harry Langdon's very first foray into films with this short of him having a dalliance with a customer at the shoe shop where he works, which presumably is where the film title comes from as it's nothing to do with picking fruit.

He would fortunately go onto greater and funnier films, as this barely raised a titter and falls well short of say, Chaplin.
