Peter Hook's 'Substance' Listening Party
The key song for me was Ceremony, because we used new technology and escaped the shadow of Ian.
The other key song for me was Everything's Gone Green because we used new technology and escaped the shadow of Ian.
The only other key song for me was Temptation. We were using new technology and escaping the shadow of Ian.
Then there was Blue Monday! It was a key song for me. I don't know why - I guess because we used new technology in it. And escaped the shadow of Ian.
And of course Confusion. I'd call that our one key song. Why? Well, we were using new technology. And escaping the shadow of Ian!
Thieves Like Us? Definitely a key track. For me. As we used new technology and escaped the shadow of Ian.
I call The Perfect Kiss our other key track. Because, you see, we were using new technology... and escaping the shadow of Ian.
Subculture? A key track. I'm not sure why, but we did use new technology in it. And escaped the shadow of Ian.
The next track is Shellshock. What can I say? Key song! We used new technology on that one - and escaped the shadow of Ian.
State of the Nation is a key song for me. Why? I suppose because we used new technology and escaped the shadow of Ian.
And what can I say about Bizarre Love traiangle? Nothing - excpet that it really is a key song. We were using new technology and escaping the shadow of Ian.
And finally, True Faith. Key! Because we used new technology in it. And escaped the shadow of Ian.
Next week: Technique. Peter describes Technique as a key album. Tune in to find out why.

'The album Republic? No that was just complete and utter f**king shit and the technology we used was clearly a load of bollocks'

I thought I'd misquote the Beatles. I should of known better.
Yes, Republic was shit. Especially after the five-year wait.

Any good?

Love Beds are Burning

Me used to be angry young man
Me hiding me head in the sand

Another great single from Johnny and the Hurricanes, and one of my wife's favourites

Love Beds are Burning

I think it's a fantastic album - their second - and it really captures the power of the band.

Opening track - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjd9sjLFUOw

PS - How do you post videos on here?

Address it to Arron and stick a stamp on it, or

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjd9sjLFUOw becomes
(youtube=hjd9sjLFUOw) only with square brackets

Use the v value from a YouTube URL.

Ta!

I'm over my Beatles obsession. It's getting better.

What a magnificent forum and a shapely, well-rounded question. Of course there's only one correct answer...

Potty Porter's Porta-Potty! The brand new comedy sketch podcast written, performed and produced entirely by one man (me - Seb Porter, hello.)
If you did not give this answer then I'm afraid you are awarded zero points and will subsequently be sent an annoying amount of potatoes via Royal Mail 48 Tracked delivery.

On a serious note, it would mean the world to me if you lovely people took a chance on fresh new comedy writing and checked it out, I'm having an absolute blast creating it and want to share it with as many listeners as possible - it can be hard making yourself known in this fiercely competitive industry!
The first 4 episodes are currently out on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Acast - might I recommend Episode 2 as your appetiser?

Links are on my profile but I'll pop them here too:

Many thanks and stay chuckling,
