Coronavirus Page 68

Good Heavens, Wheel, you're having a tough time of it!

Many sympathies.

Horrible disease.
If you are frail or have other conditions, the chances are it will see you off.

My condolences Wheel.

How'd yer think I feel with COPD :(

And there's still dicks around our neck of the woods refusing to wear masks.

Not just yours.
I was reading about the vaccine(s)
They claim +90% effective. I do hope that is right.

I'm sure people say 'what about the 10% that it doesn't work on?'
Well, the smallpox vaccine was 90% effective and the disease was eradicated forever.

It works on the theory that the 10% that get it despite being vaccinated can't pass it on to the 90% that are immune
Therefor, it dies off in one cycle.

They have to get it to the anti-vaxx's though

Ah well, you hang on in there Herc and stay safe.

The vaccine is coming, sooner rather than later I hope.

Yep, See this a lot where I live and it makes me so flipping angry.

Also Herc, stay safe and hope nothing nasty happens to you.

Thank you Wheel and Stephen...................

I never see people without masks, but it's a different story here at the airport. About 25% of the people have their masks down/off while drinking coffee. They should just ban food and drink at airports.

It'll be 82F/28C in my city today, but I'm heading to Denver where it's 30F/-1C and snowing - what a difference 900 miles makes. Anticipating a delay once airborne in an hour.

Stay safe DB.
It's only going to get worse here - vaccines on the horizon seems to make people think it's all over, consequently letting their collective guards (and masks) down.

I'm at moderate risk it seems, being over 70 with mild COPD, but there's lots of other vulnerable conditions that some might have on here and am wondering what their views are on, especially, the newer Oxford vaccine, which seems to be a godsend.

By all accounts it's well tested - would they/you have it?

100%
Twice if they'll let me,

Thanks! Just landed in Denver. We circled for 60 minutes because only one runway is open. Looks like about 4 inches of snow on the ground and it's still coming down.

Just me and thee then......................

I'm not sure I need it, but I would.
Having tested positive for antibodies I will need clarification.

Oh dear, sorry about that Stephen - is that where they flush your bladder out until your piss goes clear?
