The Old Guys - Series 1 Page 20

Yes, it gets better as it goes on, I'd agree with that.

The writers have since said they thought putting in some fairly adult gags - and most of the 'Courtesan' episode - was, in hindsight, a mistake... so they'll be slightly less controversial in Series 2.

Are you kidding? That was one of the best episodes so far!! How dare they lose their balls.

Sorry if already posted, first series comes out on July 5th 2010.

Re watched the whole of Series 1 of this again tonight after not watching it for a number of years.

Loved it when it aired first time round, look forward to viewing Series 2 tomorrow.

Wasn't a bad sitcom at all IMO. Such a shame they never did more when Roger and Clive were still with us.

I thought so at the time and still do...

from here successfully DL-ed and checked, all is well, full with ru and en languages s1and2
I noticed the Hammond organ near dinner table in s1e2

It is slowly becoming my fave of the year, - with such a good writing, - it has not much modern subliminal stuff, - no, it is a good old fashioned sitcom, based on: good story, one liners, strong developed characters. Such a thing is very hard to write.

Glad you've enjoyed it! That kind of sitcom really is timeless. Viewers are being ignored with the dearth of them now.

Here's our lovely article about the series, for anyone who missed it: https://www.comedy.co.uk/features/comedy-rewind/the-old-guys/

Anyone know how James Donohue (the guy who won the last laugh competition and co-write the pilot) is getting along?

Here it is. As I say it's being repeated on London Live. No good for all you Northerners though.

You used to be able to catch-up on anything via London Live's website. Not sure if that's still the case, but worth checking if you're interested. https://www.londonlive.co.uk/

I've got confused here, and would like to know a couple of things as I too entered that "Last Laugh" competition, and wondered what happened to the winner, which was supposed to be made and broadcast. ALSO, or maybe I'm missing something here, what is it to do with "The Old Guys"?

Thanks for that Aaron, BUT they have no search facility as such, besides which I've no idea what to search for, title wise.

They also have a YouTube channel, but I found nothing there either as it seems to be for London boroughs.

MOST annoying and confusing!!
