The Angel Who Pawned Her Harp (1954)

Rave reviews for this on the IMDb, but it didn't do it for me - typical mid 1950s UK colour film for the Mums of the time that I found a bit so so, maybe even a bit mawkish.

Sean Connery's wife Diane Cilento sharing main billing with the seemingly ubiquitous Felix Aylmer and amongst others were Alfie Bass, Jerry Desmonde and David Kossoff. Notable also that the other main part was played by a Philip Guard (who?) who didn't remain in films much after this one.

Cilento plays an angel who is sent down from heaven to help out two or three people (why?) with minor problems and so not very riveting - in fact, looking at it now I wonder why I bothered to stick with it, and the end was a bit muddle with a scenario that seemed pointless and adding nothing to the plot.

Comedy? I think not, and one to miss.

Very strange film but I didn't think it was supposed to be a comedy if it was it failed

Yers, fully agree, but it is listed as "Comedy Fantasy". More leaning towards the fantasy methinks.
