What do you call three herbs and a clock?

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Time. Wave

Simon and Garfunkel say to Dave Gahan, 'We're struggling with a line: 'Parsely, sage, rosemary.' Will we ever find an ending?'
'Of course,' says Dave. 'It's just a question of thyme.'

A mate of mine does something on Facebook for a couple of hours a few of days a week playing disco, soul and funk. He's currently playing Jamaica Funk.

Here is one of my favourite female singers of all time. There is something very magical about her. I only know one song by her (that's one more than most other folk know) which can last anything between four minutes and half an hour depending on how she is inclined to string it out. I've seen loads of films accompanying it during the years I have been following the Ethiopian peoples' music but I became all excited when finding this one yesterday. Really excited. It's trance music basically - and a great armchair sitting drug. I think it's utterly fantastic:

Bezawork Asfaw -Tizita (11 min version) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okbU7azgrvk

As a footnote, Mr GK mentions the Cocteau Twins. I think Bezawork segues well into This Mortal Coil's version of Tim Buckley's "Song To The Siren" which is again the very talented Elizabeth Fraser. I feel that she has vocal stylings which are somewhat beyond the United Kingdom. Ethiopia, among other places, perhaps.

What do you call a band with a prick on its leg? Cock-knee Rebel.
What do you call a band with a prick on its foot? Cock-toe Twins.
What do you call a band with five pricks? One Direction.

Yes, the Bezawerk Asfaw song is really nice.
Reading the comments on utube I was intrigued by the language of Ethiopia.According to Wiki there are 83 with 200 different dialects!

Jarvis cocker - c**ts are still running the world

Jarvis Cocker calling people c**ts. It's like John Merrick saying You're ugly.

What can you possibly have against Jarvis cocker ffs????

I hate this patronising, condescending play-to-the-working-clarse-when-you're-a-f**king-millionaire bollocks. You'll never live like common people - you certainly won't. Who is he, Damon f**king kneesup Albarn?

Ummm I doubt very much he was a millionaire when Common People was released

They had been going for years Pulp before that break through single and sold next to f**k all until then

But yeah Blur make me wanna wretch too ...

Blur do good singles, hit n' miss albums and appalling Bsides. I'd rate Suede over that whole Shitpop '''phenomenon'''.

Elastica's debut was the best album of the britpop era

Totally unoriginal- but cool as f**k
