Sick, sick, sick!

So now you're a psychologist? Where did you train? (Falls about laughing hysterically)

Our ranges are mostly paper and steel targets. You might find one that has zombies or Osama bin Laden printed on the target if you're lucky.

Throwing grenades was the best part of Basic Training. They're surprisingly loud, but the explosions are nothing like the fireballs you see on television. Here video of the real thing. If you look closely you can see specks in the video: those are tiny pieces of shrapnel embedded in the bulletproof glass.

There are ranges in places like Orlando and Vegas where tourists can fire all sorts of fully automatic weapons.

Interesting video and the last one really shows the blast radius against the sand. Your day is going downhill fast if you happen to be standing there. At first I wasn't sure if the dialogue is from people in the video as you would hope when they're just about to throw a grenade they're not talking about chess club. :D Similar to a sterile cockpit when during critical phases of flight the only chatter is for flight control and nothing else.

I was in the chess club at lower school when I was 7 and had such an influence I was able to get my brother enrolled on an inter-school tournament that he had failed to qualify for. I was Mr Big.

Those are frag grenades so the injury is from fragments but I imagine there are stockpiles of napalm type grenades. I would enjoy lobbing one of them at a barrel of petrol after a steak dinner.

The queen addresses the UK on coronavirus. Haven't we suffered enough already?

For anyone that missed it here is a summary:

"Blah blah blah blah the war blah blah blah BLAAAHH"

Thanks ma'am

Another 441 people in the UK have died in the last 24 hours after being infected with coronavirus.

Our death toll has now risen to 5,375.

The only types I'm familiar with are fragmentation, CS (tear gas), smoke, white phosphorus, flash-bang, and incendiary. Incendiary grenades obviously set stuff on fire, but they're not like napalm. They contain thermite and they're typically used to destroy equipment. Put one on the engine of a tank or other vehicle and they'll burn right through the engine block. Helicopter crews will use them to destroy classified equipment, etc.

I'd like to throw a grenade.

Do you tell people this on the first or second date ?
DaButt very enlightening, thanks. I'm planning a trip, so how many grenades can you take through US customs ?

Here's the answer straight from the horse's mouth:

Can't you gun nuts and grenade lovers create your own special weapons porn thread, rather than hijacking this thread's urgently important death updates?

I think it depends if you're brown or not

In the absence of Government support to nurses, does anyone know where the masks in this picture are now located?

It would be nice to think that they could be donated by Matt Hancock to eleven nurses with very small heads and one nurse with a fairly average sized one.

Apparently Boris Johnson is now in intensive care.

"Coronavirus travel advice changes as Brits told to avoid going abroad indefinitely. This means that if you have a holiday booked, it's now effectively cancelled."

Good luck to Bojo as I might not agree with a word he says but good luck to the lad in intensive care.
