Another interesting suggestion, thanks George. She looks 12, just googled it and she's 23. They've got a merseybeat beat undertone.

Or how about this one, Radish. Prophetic, or what?!

Hand in glove
The sun shines out of our behinds

No it's NOT like any other love
This one's different
Because it's us!

Hand in glove
We can go wherever we please
And everything depends upon
How near you stand to me

And if the people stare
Then, the people stare
Oh I really don't know
And I really don't care

Hand in glove
The Good People laugh

Yes, we may be hidden by "rags"
But we have something they'll never have

Hand in glove
The sun shines out of our behinds

Yes, we may be hidden by "rags"
But we have something they'll never have

And if the people stare
Then, the people stare
Oh I really don't know
And I really don't care

So hand in glove I stake my claim
I'll fight to the last breath

If they dare touch a hair on your head
I'll fight to the last breath

For the good life is out there somewhere
So stay on my arm, you little charmer

But I know my luck too well
Yes, I know my luck too well
And I'll probably never see you again
I'll probably never see you again
I'll probably never see you again

Yes Mr K.

How nice it is to see the 1980s being able to capture the zeitgeist.

And every day IS like Sunday.

Come nuclear bomb.

Come. :)

1970s Sunday. :)

Though at least we had The Big Match & The Persuaders.

Brian Moore was one of the stars at a conversazione I attended in 1975. Everyone knew he was a Gillingham fan. But he steadfastly refused to say if West Ham were his second team and if true whether that was the reason why the Hammers were always on The Big Match..I will never know why someone as sophisticated as Bobby Charlton chose to go to the same barber. Anyhow, I think this is the song you are fondly recalling. It's pretty good but on the one day of my life I wore both a moustache and a bow tie I didn't get anywhere near to matching them like Tony O did. That's why I'm a failure:

(I've only just realised that I have been really spoiling you all day by exclusively choosing your favourite kind of music) :)

There was a young woman on the radio today extolling the virtues of the local child care centre. She said they've even taught her 3 year old how to wash her hands. She must have been too busy to do it herself.:)

I'm still on my Massive Attack thing and apparently Neneh gave them pocket money and a good kick up the bum now and then, aka encouragement.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - "Fishing for Fishies". Put the album on after watching "Better Call Saul" with my neighbor and we're enjoying a few beers. At 6 feet apart, of course.

"There was a young woman on"...........it's a very strong start but, sorry, as limericks go I thought the rest was in need of improvement.

There was a young woman on radio
Whose knowledge of hygiene was too low.
She took her young daughter
To learn what she oughta
From teachers with soap and a hand blow.

Her Glastonbury set last year was the highlight for me - couldn't find it for you on YT unfortunately, only on iPlayer.

Her last album, Broken Politics, is pretty good too - a few weaker spots, but on the whole worth a listen, and worth buying if you can find it cheap. Haven't found myself returning to it though.

Her daughter, Mabel, is also making big waves in the UK Pop/R'N'B scene.
