For those interested, these guys have a 50% off sale.

For what it's worth I've always found MoveMagic Screenwriter the better of the pro writing packages, though not as fashionable as Final Draft.
If you're thinking of making the leap, 50% off makes for a slightly softer landing!

I'm having a look at it, I don't understand the IT jargon I have to say, will I take a punt without knowing what I'm doing? I doubt it but thanks for the nod anyway. If one could just magically appear on my little laptop without me spending two days following unfathomable instructions I'd buy one now. I may have to stick to tabs and wobbly indents for my little puppies and hope for latitude from tech savvy readers. Hmm...

It downloads in 2 minutes and if you haven't got to grips with the basics after a couple of hours I would be very surprised.
I used to use this software and I thought it much more intuitive.
Only using Final Draft now because film people seem to prefer it.

Hmm, you're enticing me then, I can feel the moths getting nervous. Quick Q from the summit of my IT knowledge - I've checked my storage and only have 1.2 gigglebites left. Can't seem to create more space - is this enough to run it properly? I don't have a super powered laptop and the old PC's gone. Cheers.

Had it for a month now and it's excellent in the main. Has some little quirks I shout at it for but it's saved a lot of twiddling and fiddling with Word and still not getting indents to line up. Its version of Courier is much easier to read than Word's for some reason but most astonishing of all, I got it up and working quite easily. Cheers for the link.

Evidently there are many BCG members who don't know that I have been giving FREE copies of my Scriptwriters' Toolkit to BCG members for many years. All you have to do is ask.

It works with Microsoft Word but handles all that fiddly indenting and fonts etc and has 14 different scripting formats that it handles, including all the BBC ones published by Matt Carless.

It works with Word 2003 right through to the latest Word, though the installation instructions don't describe the latest Word/Office. For later Words, I have just brief written instructions not videos. It does work on macOS with the latest versions of Microsoft Word/Office, but I haven't produced installation instructions at all yet.

The support forum for the Toolkit is at: http://www.datahighways.co.uk/support/forum.asp?forum_id=25

Watch these two Videos if you want to see how easy it is to use.

Using the Toolkit

These videos are done with Windows XP and Word 2003, but the procedures are very similar for Windows7 with Word 2007/2010, so users with later software should still be able to use these tutorials.

Glad it worked out!

If you are wondering why there are no later videos, well they actually require more effort to produce than the Toolkit itself and giving free copies and very low prices to needy writers doesn't produce any incentive to put in that effort, especially since Windows (after XP) fails to be compatible with the video production and editing software that I used.

Sorry I forgot about this Bill but your links are useful ta. I had that BBC template in my docs to refer to while drafting something. Also checked out a BOAF script on line.
