There was a 20 second video clip on Twitter hard to make out what's going on i think it was an impression of Boris Johnson there were mentions of Wordsworth and a meatpacking plant

Yeah I saw that. That's what made me realise they'd already recorded it. I'd love to get to a recording one day.

Ha, you've summed it up beautifully there.

I managed 5 one-liners and 2 sketches - one about Charles becoming King and the other about the lack of au pairs in the UK. Don't think either sketch was that great to be honest so not holding out much hope there!

A specialist team caught it and after being checked over by a vet and deemed in good health with no injuries from the fall it was released back in to the wild. It was a bad week for Superdrug after a badger fell through the roof of one of it's stores. And a bad week for the badger who thought it was safe in the UK after escaping from a Wuhan market

That's good: the only snag is that the joke, when told verbally rather than in writing, takes a little time to sink in and many of the audience might not get it in a fast-moving radio show.

In any event, it's a quality joke and far superior to some of the usual NewsJack content.

I was only riffing..... although it's probably better than any of the dross I submitted this week.

I hear ya, I'd probably shift 'culled' to the end of the joke if I actually used it. Give the person delivering the gag an easier job of putting some emphasis on that word.
