An almost identical remake of Laughter In Paradise some 20 years previous and IMO not a touch on the original.

Plenty of famous comedy actors in this but none of them (even Thora Hird) could save it I'm afraid. WHY they stuck so close to the original film is a puzzle as they brought nothing to it, so don't bother with this and watch "LIP" if you want a good laugh with the likes of Alastair Sim who is matchless.

I bought this mainly out of curiosity after watching Laughter in Paradise. Wasn't even aware there had been a remake until recently.

Sounds like I'm going to be disappointed but still curious to see how it turns out,
