Great people in comedy who are still alive and over 80?

Carmen Munroe, 87.

I must admit I had to look her up.
I nominate Barry Humphies. Dame Edna wouldn't be quite as old.

Oh yes.

Very good one - and thanks for taking up the challenge.

So kind of you.

Any more for any more?

Every aspect of comedy.

(I'm mainly hoping for British but Australian is cool)

Barry Cryer, 84.

(Incidentally, I LOVE Carmen Munroe who came to Britain at 18/19) :)

Yes Barry's a good one.

Whatabout Nicholas Parsons? Not a comedian as such but involved in comedy.

Thanks.

Judi Dench, 85.

Roy Hudd immediately springs to mind (since I'm going to see him in April).

Then there's Jim Dale & James Bolam...

Yes, absolutely.

Among other things he was a regular on the Benny Hill Show,

His nickname ironically is Shirley after child star Shirley Temple.

96 currently.

Two girls from the Rag Trade.
Sheila Hancock and Barbara Windsor(although sadly she's not good now)

86 and 82.

Babs needs no comment as her place in history is assured but Sheila is an underrated national treasure. I have never read the great Kenny Williams's diaries but always assumed that she was the one who kept him alive as long as seemed possible. On JAM, she was not only the perfect foil for him but seemed to keep him grounded at least sporadically,

Prunella Scales. 87.

Ram Jam Holder, 85. :)

Brian Murphy, 87.

Geoffrey Palmer, 92.

WENDY CRAIG, 85.

I'm all excited now. :)

Melvyn Hayes, 84.

You've forgotten Prunella's OH
Timothy West .AKA Bradley Hardacre.

Oh yes absolutely - 85.

Michael Knowles, 82-83.

Roy Clarke, 89. :)

Josephine Tewson, 88.

What about Michael Medwin?

Rose to stardom in one of Britain's first-ever sitcoms, "The Army Game" and is still with us at 96.

Wow.

That's like Adam in the Garden of Eden.

Well done. :)

Una Stubbs, 82.

There are several who are almost there - John Cleese is 80 and Jon Alderton and Pauline Collins are 79.

Tom Baker ...... who?
He was in Little Britain and a Blackadder.
