only guitars, and overall arrangement by little me.
Could anybody recommend something rhythmic and harmonious like KEANE, Travis, Calogero?
Today most of all I like Travis, especially his "Last Train": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=376i1a-LMdo

How about Turin Brakes?

This forum -

has loads of similar requests, so might be worth joining and posting the same question as their members are usually very knowledgeable and helpful.

You also might find stuff in their genre charts eg Folk Pop

Or Indie Pop, which has reminded me about The Go-Betweens

This is from my band (arranged it and played guitars here). Song composed by Mulligan, score taken from the book:

Very nice and I like the dark almost sinister tone. Reminds me of film noir. Nice synth sounds as well.

I'm sorry but I really can't get into Rap. Generally the music is fine but then they start talking - or chanting - instead of singing and to my mind they sound really stupid. Half the time the rhymes are imperfect and the lyrics are unintelligible. There are a few odd exceptions such as the Fat Boys but I'm watching Later with Jools Holland and I really don't understand it. I know I'm old but there's a a jazzy band on now called Nerija who sound really good.

Jack Dee: I like rap. So does my bitch.
I can't remember any 70s disco, but I will survive.
I just saw Melanie C's Rolling Stone interview. I need to lie down.

Thank you John Tregorran, George Kaplan, Definitely Tarby for time and answers.

I see usual rap as not musically, as such, effective style. Some MC rapping in "People Just Do Nothing" was not so bad as common teenager, political, rage, racial, ... rapping and maybe only because people doing it were likable.
Funk + Rap + MC could be good, but it's for some rare songs.

If you like Keane and Travis, you might also like Starsailor. Their recent stuff is good too.

Yes - just down the road. But their music was very cinematic.

I rehearsed a scene five times with my good friend Donna Summer and then said, 'Now it's time to film, so give it your best.' - 'Don't worry,' she said. 'This time I know it's for reel.'
