Trying to remember an old satirical panel show

Hope it's ok to ask this here.

I'm trying to remember a panel-type show (it might have had sketches too) that was on when I was a kid in the 80s or 90s. I can't recall how old I was when I saw it so I can't pin down the decade, unfortunately.

It was a satirical show, and the very last episode ended with all the regulars with bombs or anvils above their heads, and each had a button to activate the other bombs/anvils so it was a mutually assured destruction situation. That's all I can remember, other than that the set was blue.

Any ideas? This has bugged me for years!

Sounds like a blast! ;)

I'm fairly confident you'll get the answer here, but if not, try the Digital Spy forums, or Ben (who posts here from time to time) at Curious British Telly.

What about Have I Got News For You? It used to be satirical but tonight's episode just sounds like Question Time.
