I really can't believe that she is supposedly a good actress.
Enjoying this a lot. A really interesting dynamic and some great writing for those willing to look past the surface.

Beneath the acting surface you mean?
Yes - it was quite good. I just found Rosamund Pike awful. Chris is a good comedy actor though.
The script is very decent but the problem, as I've said before, is the casting.
Rosamund Pike and Chris O'Dowd are portraying characters not entirely dissimilar to their real-life selves and I repeat myself (re the casting) only because I've been trying to imagine a pair of actors less likely ever to have entered into a marital relationship in real life.
It's been a struggle but I've finally come up with Emma Thompson and Johnny Vegas.

God yes. Attractive. Funny. Intelligent. How can he stand her!? Ahem. She's trying to get him back anyway. But I've already said that.
Not sure we can assume the characters are very like their real life selves. How would we know?
