What are you watching on TV? Page 2,160

ABH for throwing a glass of water? Presumably she emptied the glass at them - didn't throw the glass. I'm not condoning it but what about real crimes?

I'm not even sure if that part is true because she threw water at them but I don't even think it hit them and even if it did that wouldn't be ABH. They get worse than that all the time so I can't see them pursuing something that they would likely lose. But with the way he talks who knows what is true in that story. He says his wife got angry because the bailiffs upset their kids but it was his wife overacting that did that. No-one likes bailiffs on their doorstep but you don't resort to antics like water throwing and insults. To be fair to him though he was reasonable.

"Lost Films of WW2" on BBC4 Thurs 9 pm, part two next week.

ABSOLUTELY riveting!
Mostly amateur films taken pre, during and post the war by keen (VERY! A lot were in colour!!) cinematographers using top quality 16 mm cameras, and nearly all the footage only recently discovered in lofts etc. by the children/grandchildren of these people, who related some very sad and poignant memories that went with them too.

This thing. Old as humanity itself story.

'Munich'. Terrible

Counting cards... That was my Rainman impression. It's good, isn't it?

I'm only bumping this as I found it looking for something else

I used to love these little sketches Sootyj used to knock out randomly in response to a post I may make. This one was in answer to me moaning how shit the Hunger Games was that Mrs Will Cam raved about. He'd knocked it out just over an hour after my original post. I sure do miss that guy around here.

I'm watching a couple of documentaries on BBC4 about World War II showing lots of previously unshown films from the time.

Fascinating documentary about Eric Winkle Brown "probably the best pilot this country has produced."

"Expedition" with Steve Backshall

Riveting stuff, but with all his programmes I wonder WHY he constantly puts his life in danger with these challengers to go where no man has gone before.
This week's was the vast unexplored caves in the Yucatan peninsular in Mexico and a lot of it is underwater, which involves the most dangerous of extreme sports - "cave diving" - as they squeeze their way through narrow passages underwater - SO MUCH can go wrong.
Be it underground or high, he'll be there - I remember the one he did a couple of years ago when they climbed up a sheer rock face of 3000 feet (!!!) in Venezuela "camping" with hammocks slung on the face of it and then him in the morning sitting on a ledge admiring the view, then climbing down the plateau via the famous Angel Falls.........................absolutely no effin' way could I do any of that.
I understand the majesty and beauty of it, but I'll view it from my TV or PC thank you....................................

The Repair Shop remains my favourite in a mad world.

Do porn stars have a dress rehearsal?

Sean Lock on 8 Out of Ten Cats was talking about making tea and what a waste of time it is with the tea bag and having to boil the water. He said the world would be a much more productive place if nobody drinks tea. It only got a light chuckle from the audience but I thought it was hilarious.

We're watching an episode of Who Do You Think You Are -Sharon Osbourne. While I've heard of that family I've never seen them. We find her quite weird. What's wrong with her speech? Dies she have some sort of disability?

P.s. she's another silly shit who says 'Wow!' All the time. All you who know, is she quite thick?

P.s. she's another silly shit who says 'Wow!' All the time. All you who know, is she quite thick?

I've never noticed any speech impediment but I do know she's recently had another facelift, so perhaps the sides of her mouth were still recovering from the surgery?

With regard to her being thick, it depends how we define "thick". She's certainly lacking formal education because she didn't like school one little bit and probably paid very little attention in class before leaving at the age of 15 - a year earlier than was normal at the time.

Formal education aside, she's proved herself to be a pretty astute businesswoman and her violent and unhappy childhood has made her as tough as old boots and therefore more than a match for most of the ravening wolves in the world of music, and showbiz in general.

I think Sharon is probably a very good friend indeed to her friends - but she is most certainly someone you wouldn't want to cross. :O
