London Hughes

Said to be the future of British female comedy, she got the best reviews I've ever seen for her Edinburgh show. I was lucky enough to have her in a cameo role in my sitcom, and she stole the show. Has anyone seen her live?

I thought it was going to be a bloke. Or the colours of the sunsets over our capital?

Any examples?

Lots of clips on You Tube.

A woman comedian entertaining an audience with explicitly sexual material?

It seems such an obvious moneymaker, I'm surprised female comics weren't doing this 50 years ago.

Groundbreaking stuff indeed.

As if that were not enough, London performs with commendable energy - both physically and verbally.

And she certainly has a face made for television!

I don't think she's "the" future of British female comedy but she's a significant and worthy part of the present and will probably remain so until well into the near future.

She's a cut above most of her contemporaries, that's for sure.

Seen her, at the time I thought she was very charismatic, very promising, but her material wasn't all that. Reading the reviews I think she's come on since then. Thanks for the tip Beaky.

Just watched a clip. Very funny and a unique style.
Somebody told her to exercise, maybe try a marathon. What, run on purpose!
