Well blow me down, there was WL playing quite a sober part in "Make Me An Offer" on TPTV playing Peter Finch's father AND a 11 year old Richard O'Sullivan playing his part as a young boy.

Had seen it before, but could not remember the end so whipped thru' it on the digi-box, then watched "The History of Mr Polly" with one of my favourite actors John Mills - had seen it in bits in the past, so managed to watch it all the way through this time. And of course Miles Malleson was in it!

Finlay Currie was in both films - he was very much about in the 50s I notice. Played a man of money in the first one and a drunken criminal in the second.
