"This Happy Breed"

What a wonderful film this is. Recently recorded off TPTV and watched last night - the third time I have watched it and proves yet again what a brilliant playwright Noel Coward was.

Had me in tears when the daughter came back - not a dry bit left on me hanky by the time it had finished.

So brilliantly acted by all concerned, especially Robert Newton and Celia Johnson whose characters from Treasure Island and Brief Encounter (one of my all-time favourite films - Noel Coward again!) respectively couldn't be more different!

John Mills, when on the screen stole the scene for me - the man can do no wrong imo. Brilliant actor, and we're watching "Hobson's Choice" next in which he had a starring part of course.

Yes.
Nice to see Robert not doing Ah! Jim Lad,too.

I can get it confused with In which we Serve ,though :(
