Top Gear is essentially a motoring programme but it's absolutely jam-packed with comedy these days.

The dialogue and the banter between Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff is the equal of anything I've heard in the very best sitcoms!

Fifty years ago, on the radio - it was.

Today, on the telly - it isn't.

I find the romps around the world a bit tedious (as with the previous series) so whip through the recordings, but tonight they had a gem of a segment with Bob Mortimer............that man is SO funny.
