So they rushed that Prem. Cup down to Brighton bloody quick didn't they! Or was it all a set up and Man. City to win the league was in the script? Whistling nnocently

I'm just checking the names of the Brighton team to make sure the goalie wasn't Bruce Grobbelaar.

They had a trophy at both grounds which surprised me a bit. I naively thought there was only one.

.....and so far as unknowns are concerned the YT clips like the one I have posted suggest that she is bloody amazing.

Well, they do to me anyway.

Beth Hart anyone?

Looking forward to it!

Pronounced Gron-ya, I think, I knew another one once, It's likely to be Irish.

Obviously I'm totally mad but people are at their best when they just roll with it. :)

I know you like to ramble but shouldn't this be on the Rock music thread?

They often do that. Probably one is a replica and they give the real one later if they have to.

Brighton have subsequently sacked Hughton. I really don't know what they expect though.

Chaps, I recognise that guidelines is guidelines but there is no way on earth that you are going to get a job on Talksport if you won't talk around the box in Jonathan Agnew or Andy Goldstein style. OK Agnew is 5 Live but he will end up there co-presenting with Danny Baker. You may not even get a job with the people who do the aerodrome commentary for the Utterly Butterly girls who stand with wind in their hair on top of old planes dressed as fluffers.

Oh my f**king gawd and I'm ever so obliged for being so polite, squire. You missed a leather trousered clad goddess - much younger than I expected though we are not talking at all dodgy - with the lungs of a bluesette way beyond my Toots and my Thielemans. That is, ostensibly on the grounds that you were afraid I was a bloody weirdo. I was the most normal person there and the only one to provide a 45 minute talk on Christy Moore's Lisdoonvana against the bouncers'wishes or demands.

It was definitely a night for a Toon on the old Duke of York with a rush through the Mill Wall to go up the Arsenal. Earwig Oh. Hopefully this is football enough not that I am bothered as I am about to go out into the garden to find a shaggable squirrel. Sadly she was way out of my league if kinda - and I can't blame her for this - clearly in the way she observed the claps from me totally entranced.

I hear that the Villa won the sexathon against Brom. All good so far as it goes, but I would not be at all surprised if Bielsa's lads don't spygate them in the fanny and I think I hope they do. Notwithstanding that Bremner and Bite-Yer-Legs were as debatable as their ground which is not so much in Leeds as in an urban dystopia without apology or deliberate injury causing remission,

That is, once Lampard of Mensa disappears down his reedy enunciation only to sod off to that city of dreams, Falmer. You know the truth of it : once a part of the E generation they are always E : don't be fooled that he hides his name behind his father's,.

Stressful Villa performance. I'm too old for this.

Wear tight pants in bed, I am enlivened and alert every night at 56. I keep hearing of 40 year olds who have issues in that department but i guess their problem is wanting "it" to engage with other people. Blokes have erections even after death. That's a fact. It is the main reason why viagra is a nonsense and an unnecessary pressure on the wallet and why when it comes to the family walking in to the embalmed body in the chapel this is only ever done with allegedly dead women.

(See what I mean, Chaps, the ability to talk around the box : I didn't get where I am today by standing creepily outside that dreadful pub at London Bridge looking in awe at the TS posters on the so-called mini Shard before defiantly taking the 5 minute train down to Cold Blow Lane; as for the Old Bank in Sutton and we go back years, a Mike Parry pub my arse)

It gladdens my heart to see Leeds stuffed, and at Elland Road too - what a bonus!! Laughing out loud

Poor Bielsa. TearyTearyTeary

We must now all fully support the Villa.

I'll never forgive Leeds for the way they treated Brian Clough. Angry

As a big Cloughie fan I think it was all quite funny and I don't think it harmed his career at all. He nearly did to them what subsequent to ferguson Manure managers have done.

Apart from the BBC labelling it wrongly as 1985 when actually the incident occurred in 1895, I was so impressed by this programme (a play) that I went around telling everyone I could find all about it including all the incredible facts involved.

Now that I have googled it, it appears that much of it might not have happened in the way as described and so a fair amount is probably poetic licence. Consequently, there are a fair few people who I have inadvertently wrongly informed.

Nevertheless, the basics are correct, not least that how the cup went missing in 1895 was a total mystery until a man confessed to it in would-you-believe the 1950s? It is a brilliant, brilliant programme and I recommend it strongly.

(It is, of course, focussed on Aston Villa)

Interesting transfer today.
