Yes, this is a problem I am finding with BBC4 because they do repeat a lot from 1 and 2, but don't say as much as they seem to be treating it as the first time seen on that channel, which is a bit annoying. I have quite often found myself watching a BBC4 doc. and realising a few minutes in that I had seen it before. Grrrrr.

Fortunately, I have now found out that if I peer hard enough at the grey subtitle on the Virgin details prior to watching it, it does show when it was aired - either the present time (like now) or when previous.

Yeah...I get that. I hate it when channels put 'NEW' in front of things, when they're not new...and they're just liars. Must make people who really haven't seen it before look like proper idiots when they stroll into work the next day, raving about 'That new show on TV'. I'm probably thinking a little deeper into the problem than is required.

The Umbrella Academy is a quirky series. Quite moreish and there's a lot of humour too. I've finished the whole series now and I'm looking forward to the next one. Hope there is one.

Also, just started the Doctor Who spinoff, 'Class'. I didn't realize it was a spinoff, so was interested to see what the feedback was at the time. Seems a lot of people didn't think it lived up to expectations. It's not that bad and there are decent enough monsters and the special effects are worth a look. Some thought it was too gory for a Who spinoff. It's fine by me. I like it.

Would have been on here earlier but switched over to BBC 2 to see they were showing "Brief Encounter" - one of the finest British post war B&W films made. Superb EVERYTHING with story based on Noel Coward play, who also produced and directed by David Lean.
Have it on DVD but film is so good I got hooked right away - WONDERFUL FILM!

Watching the Richie Rich series. It's the Easter hols...so, unless little one is at her dad's for any of it, which isn't much, as he uses a lot of his annual days off work for other reasons, children's TV is pretty much what I'm gonna be watching. Lots of cuddles, though, so I think I can deal with that. :-)

I think Brian Cox is a great actor and he doesn't half get some work . In fact he is in the running to be Scotland's answer to Sam Kydd who was in everything I ever watched growing up .

They gave me a beautiful sequined butterfly jacket for a casino scene. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to keep it. And Peter Capaldi was a lovely kind man.

My youngest has decided she absolutely loves Dara, since watching him on Blockbusters, where he is far more harsh with his banter towards the schoolkids playing than Bob would ever have been. Noticing lately more and more of BBC TV 3 "taking over" the main channels to show their programmes, which beggars the question (if they are not now only going to show them online), why the f**k get rid of BBC 3 in the first place? They had some very good progs. on there!
