Pure - Series 1

This sounds interesting https://www.vice.com/en_uk/article/wjm5bw/pure-navigates-ocd-in-a-way-weve-never-seen-before-on-tv

Loads of swearing, lesbian porn, incest and, because it's on the TV, none of it shows up on your Internet history.

What's not to love?

I enjoyed it, the idea is very interesting, intrusive thoughts, OCD, and sex. It was well-written, which you might expect from something adapted from a novel, and funny in parts. I'll probably be watching the rest on All4 later.

People seemed to be happy about it raising awareness of OCD, her rare form in particular. For that reason though I don't know if there will be much more lesbian stuff. I think the point is she's a straight woman but she thinks about a lot of things sexually she doesn't really want to do, she couldn't have sex with the woman in the first episode, for example, despite having thoughts about it.

Quite similar to HOCD, which can make your thoughts not match your orientation.

Bloody hell!

I've just set a series link! >_<

Just finished this today and there's very little lesbian stuff in it, sorry Rood eye :P

It was great though, so I'd recommend it regardless.

I liked it. Engaging central character and the comedy worked well. I hope it'll develop into being about more than just sex, but with six episodes I'm sure that'll be the case

I've just watched half of episode two and, without the lesbian porn, there's just not enough to sustain my interest.

That's not because I'm particularly into lesbian porn: it's because the first half of episode two contains almost nothing I'd want to watch. I'll happily watch Marnie (played by the charismatic Charly Clive) lezzing it up with another attractive young woman but, if she's going to play it straight, she's going to need a much better script than this to keep me interested.

I don't think I'm totally alone in that respect. The sexual element is surely the main reason for the show's popularity. I'm pretty sure that if viewers were to ask themselves whether or not they'd watch this show if Marnie's obsession were to do with the reliability of her washing machine rather than with taboo sexual activities, those that answered honestly would probably answer "No".

Sex is the surface throughout, but relationships and mental health are the substance. Hope you enjoy it

I watched the whole series, enjoyed it, and laughed. Absolutely nothing to do with sex or lesbianism at all, but the characters and funny bits.
