"Stupid woman" remark strikes a chord with songwriters.

The recent "stupid woman" furore in which Jeremy Corbyn is alleged to have uttered the words under his breath while Theresa May was speaking in the House of Commons has prompted press releases from several sources keen to dispel the notion that they would ever refer to a person's gender.

Paul McCartney has denied ever contributing to a song entitled "Girl", claiming the original title was "Young Person with Internal Genitals" and that John Lennon altered it.

Yoko Ono, on behalf of Lennon, denies the above and has also denied that he ever wrote a song entitled "Woman", claiming the original title was "Fully Grown Person with Internal Genitals" but the title and lyrics were changed during production.

Neil Diamond has denied writing a song entitled "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon", claiming the original title was "Young Person With Internal Genitals, You'll Soon Be Fully Grown But Barring Disasters, Your Genitals Will Remain Internal." He says the lyrics were later changed because they didn't scan but he apologises for any offence caused by the changes.

Laughing out loudLaughing out loudLaughing out loudfunniest thing I've read this week.

That was funny, and the choices of songs and different interpretations could go on and on.

Thanks very much for your kind words, Will and Carlos. :)
