One Foot In The Grave Page 10

A good point and something you don't always appreciate when you first watch this show. Margaret herself acknowledges Victor's caring side in the final episode and how he was basically the good guy in this world and everybody isn't.

I think she did kill her in the final episode. She wanted justice for what happened and when she found out who killed Victor then Margaret did what she said would do. This is how I viewed what happened. Of course others doubt it. But it's what I love about the ending you choose what you think happened and not be forced to watch what happened.

Well she knew where she lived. But Margaret's actions after finding out who the murderer is doesn't seem to suggest that. How badly does she want her dead? And does she think she'll get away with it-she would be suspect No. 1.

Well when Hannah was being apologetic Margaret was just staring at her saying nothing and she put the tablets in the drink and she let herself out and drove away. But if she did kill Hannah no one else would have known that Hannah killed Victor except for Margaret. So I think she would have got away with it

I think you should give up on a life of crime, Wheel. "Hannah" was actually called Glynda and it would be pretty clear from his autopsy that Victor was run over, both Glynda and Margaret go to the same counselling group and...I wouldn't want to go through all the details but it would seem an open and shut case if Glynda turned up dead.

I don't remember her name
Unless the actress that played her was called Hannah.

You could forget that ending and you could always imagine that whole sequence was just a dream and life just continued for the Meldrews

Just watching One Foot in the Algarve.

Simply adore this sitcom - this special is sheer genius.

Always watch this episode before going away on holiday.

The Meldrews and Mrs. Warboys believing they were in a prison cell when they were in fact escorted to their "villa" is bloody marvellous!

Just an observation...when the boxer and his family arrive at their villa, they acknowledge the grotty looking villa next to them. I'm not sure if I was being slow when I first watched this, but how did we, the audience, not realise that they were in fact not in prison? Were we to assume that the boxer and his family thought it was a villa? Because it spoils the big reveal when they realise they're in fact in their villa!

Also - who was the person captured on camera by the paparazzi (Peter Cook) bloke?

Another classic Renwick unconfirmed nugget in his story telling.

Watching The Wisdom of the Witch special - Phil Daniels' psychotic jealous boyfriend character followed Patrick by speaking to the police and claimed he was his brother-in-law or something.

How on earth would the police know where Victor travelled to?

Thanks! I'm nearly 4 series down and now have a guest on for each episode - much more fun.

Repeating on Yesterday from the first episode.

I'm supposed to believe that Victor is made redundant at 60. He looks more like 70. I'm 65 and he looks much older than me - doesn't he?

Richard Wilson was born in 1936. The first episode of One Foot in the Grave was 1990. So he was in fact only 54.

He must've been born in 1916.
